Bring 3 cups water to a boil in a large pot.
Add 2 Tbsp Made with Love Red Pepper Spice Blend, (For milder broth substitute MWL Country Onion or Daring Dill Spice Blend in this recipe!)
Add 1/2 cup wine, 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup mild salsa, 4 cloves of chopped garlic. Stir well over high heat.
Add 2 lbs fresh mussels (rinsed and checked) and stir well.
Lay 1/2 bunch fresh asparagus spears over the top. Cover with lid and boil hard over high heat 3-5 mins until mussels have popped open and asparagus is bright green.
Remove asparagus & mussels with slotted spoon and divide between two large bowls (or serve in one huge center dish for succulent sharing).
Keep broth uncovered and boil hard another few mins to reduce. Top bowls with hot broth and serve with hot crispy french baguettes & butter for dipping.
